In blue it says windows security alert, then says windows has detected an internet attack attempt. sombodys trying to infect your pc with spy ware or harmful viruses. I can see my desktop but nothing is working. Is there anyway i could set my computer back a few days, or any other advice to help the problem....thanks for your time.

Computer problem.?spyware remover

The message it's self is a virus/adware. Download Spybot and clean your computer.

If that doesn't work, reformat.

P.S. Screw Nortin. It's no better than the free ones out there, and WAY more annoying.

Computer problem.?virus removal

The guy above is likely right, it's probably a spyware infection itself if it's directing you to download a solution, go to system restore and set your comp. back to a date prior to the infection.. then d/l spybot s%26d to remove anything onboard, and avast anti-irus will remove certain things from system volume_restore if you havent a decent anti-virus software, both programs are freeware.
You should always tell us your operating system and browser when posting PC problems. Assuming you are using Windows XP or higher, it appears you have been infected by a virus. Apparantly, you have not been keeping your Anti-Virus program updated or this wouldn't have happened.

What you need to do is first purchase a copy of Norton or McAfee Internet Security Suite. Then, start your PC in "safe mode", see your manual for how to do that as it varies depending on system.

After that, place your Anti-virus diskette into your CD drive, and use it to scan your PC for viruses. It should be able to disinfect your system. Then, once your scan gives you a clean system, install the anti-virus program and update it at the manufacturer's website. Be sure to use the program's autoupdate featuer to keep it updated.
Download AVG free they have an anti spyware and anti virus program that kicks azzzzzz.
