Windows XP Security Center?

My Security Center is off. I click start, run, type services.msc, then ok. Double click Security Center, click automatic, apply, start and ok. I restart my computer. Still off! Any ideas? Thanks.

Windows XP Security Center?virus protection software

Yes, you have some form of spyware or trojan that is turning it off on you.

Do a free online scan of your system here:

Then I suggest getting Windows Defender and scanning your system again.

update and run your antivirus and anti spyware programs.

if this still doesnt do the job you may be looking at a reinstall so prepare for a backup.

this is because services are near impossible to repair if its not spyware or malware causing the problem

Iam starting a free computer help and advice website.

http://www.freecomputeradvice.org

this will have an email link to answer computer problems if you cant find them on the site.

It will be live by the end of this week.

Please remember this URL for future help and advice.

Thanks
