I need security/IT expert opinion pls. MULTIPLE questions. Malwares in bsd v, linux, macs, unix, win

i need security/IT expert opinion pls. Malwares in bsd v, linux, macs, unix, windows

Until now, just about how many malwares are there that infects bsd variants, linux variants, macs, unix, %26 windows ?

i've heard windows has about 110-130,000 malwares

linux has about 40 (some say about 300)

is/are there any website(s) that counts/compares/malware threats and their numbers to computer OS ?

Whats your opinions on the statement "Linux hard to be infected because very few people use it and the crackers don't want to waste time infecting a few computers. They want to infect the largest number they can, and, that means windows computers" . . .

bcause i believe, technically, from the scratch, linux was built with better security than windows. Some say linux is built by hackers%26crackers, so it's harder to infect linux.

Also, some say, in hacker/cracker communities%26competitions, windows is for exercise, while linux is used in the finals

pls be objective%26/technical, thanks a lot :)

I need security/IT expert opinion pls. MULTIPLE questions. Malwares in bsd v, linux, macs, unix, windows?norton internet security

Any system that is Unix based, such as Linux, Mac OS, Red Hat, etc is inherently more stable and harder to hack into than windows.

Currently, there are no known viruses affecting the current versions of Unix based OS.

Considering most servers, business networks, and Govt networks use a Unix based OS, I wouldn't go for that tired myth about "no viruses for non-windows systems because there aren't enough of them." If a cracker could take over networks and servers for their Spamming, they'd do it in a heartbeat. So they go after the weakest animal in the herd, windows.
