Hi,

I can get about 1Km range from my router which is mounted in my roof space, try moving your router up higher this may work and then walk round with a Laptop running "Net Stumbler" which will then monitor signal range for you. Hope this helps.

You'll have to pay someone to run that cable inbetween the computers but it would be alot faster.

your best option is multiple wireless routers placed in the house a Dual Cantenna shot with a high impendence amplifer is a good option for those exteneded trips. you'll have to use a lazer or something similar to get the two cantennas straight on with each other.
