Help!!! Ive tried everything(ithink) & still cant get activex running on my home computer...?

it cant be this hard ...i didnt feel like an idiot w computers till now ...ive lowered my security settings on both the internet and trusted sites ...i added the site as a trusted site ...i checked to make sure "ADMINISTRATOR" was enabled .....what else can i try????? ..im at wits end
