I recommend Free AVG, Free zonealarm, free adaware, free pctool antivirus... Why pay when you there are many free software that does the job.

If you really want to pay get spyware doctor, zonealarm or avg. goodluck!
I recommend Kaspersky Internet Security Suite v6.0. It doesn't use up a lot of resources, automatically updates, and has been proven to be one of the best security apps on the market.

You have gotten a lot of good suggestion. Zone Alarm Security Suite is a good choice. You should lean toward getting a security suite that becuase this will cut down on software conflicts that you would have by installing a bunch of software. Zone Alarm offer best firewall on the market, anti-spyware, and anti-virus in one.
