Do you know how to permanently block a Computer from accessing your wireless connection with PC-cill

I just changed my Internet security to PC-cillin and keep getting a notice that the same computer is accessing my connection and I tell it that I want to block the computer - but it keeps coming up again and again. I'm sure it's probably just a neighbor and not intentional, but how do I block it permanently?

I think it's interesting that I never got a message like this with Norton Internet Security. Did Norton just not detect it or was it blocking more effectively? I also just changed my browser to firefox - could that have anything to do with it?

If you are using the block feature in PC-Cillin correctly then all it is doing is warning you of the attempt to connect to your network ....it is not saying that they are connected ...only that they are trying to connect.

If the problem persists I suggest you copy the IP addresses of the computers trying to get into your network %26 then go to this site to find out who they are :

http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/in...

Choose "IP Address" in the search options.

Once it shows you who the ISP provider is you should contact them (via e-mail) with the IP adress of the offender %26 file a complaint. This will get them to stop.

In the case of any intrusion attempt you can also submit a complaint to the appropriate authorities. ISP providers will usually cooperate fully with all police corps.
