How do I get around security 98?

Ok I found this computer. I bought a power cord for it cause when it was tossed they didnt toss them too (i had 1 already) So I plugged both in and when it comes on i get this security 98 window. How can I get around this? How do I boot the computer without it going into windows? Sorry for being pc illiterate but I am a mac user but it would be nice to have a pc too. If I have to go to the exreame to install the system how do I do that exactly? Sorry again. I finally bought the keyboard and mouse and want to get the damned thing running so I can use it. No I am not some jerk that is trying to mess with a persons computer. I dont care whats on it. I could care less. I just want to use it

Here is a way you can do it, but it will clean everything off of the harddrive, and will look like** new when finished** It is called a "system recovery"

These instructions, will clean everything off of your hard drive, so you must back up anything that you want to save. I have done this three times, and I got these instructions, from a computer tech. When starting your computer, tap the F-10 key. click on next-yes-and follow the instructions, that come up on your screen. When you are finished, your computer, will look just like it did, when you first bought it.Do these steps, in order, when finished.

1. set up windows firewall

2. windows update (click express)

3. install your anti-virus program (update)

4. install anti-spyware (update)

After you do this, the defaults should already be loaded. You have to install your firewall, antivirus, and antispyware, do the windows updates, will get you ready to go onto the internet..
