Telewest broadband Internet security {cable}?

Ive hade this in for years, but about a year ago they gave us an internet security for nothing ,fire wall and that sort of thing.

But since down loading it on to the computer we have had nothing but trouble,

After 2 weeks a guy came out and wiped every thing off and rebooted it, but we lost loads of personal stuff and it still didnt work properly.we wiped the broad band security thing of and now its working fine..?.

Has any one else experienced this from telewest or is it my computer.

Its worked ok for me... has slowed down the comp a bit but most spyware will do it to a degree...

Think the software is pretty good considering its free. Sorry can't be more help with your problem!

I don't have telewest but have insight broadband and this last six months it a real piece of work. nothing works for more than an hour and the techs have no answers. My phone is vonage always worked well till may. i think they oversell what they have for bandwith.They claim its been renovated but I have more problems with peak times than i have ever had before. comcast not available in my area . If it is in yours they have excellant record of massive speed.sometimes my upload is no more than 50 have to have 250 for my phone to work.
Ditch the freebies, switch of Windows paltry attempt at a firewall %26 spend 拢25 and get Zonelabs firewall %26 antivirus. I've been using it for 2 years and have NEVER had a virus infection. it blocked ALL intrusions %26 catches ALL known viruses.

Not as good as a hardware firewall with Sophos Antivirus, but costs a LOT less.
