Any free programs that will fix my computer/browser?????

Help!! I've done a security scan, have virus protection, and also already used Spybot. None of those really worked.

My computer is going really slow and my browser keeps screwing up. I use ither IE 6 or Firefox. I don't like firefox, but IE 6 keeps shutting down on me and giving me errors. I would uninstall it, but I like it a lot better than firefox.

I found a fix it program for my computer, did a test scan and it told me I had 1006 errors... Of course when I wanted to fix these errors, it told me I'd have to pay $29.95, plus another 9.95 to fix my browser.... Do these programs REALLY work?? Is there something else in mind? I already did Spybot, but I need something that will fix IE 6 and my computer altogether. I don't have a virus and I have Norton Security.

Please let me know if there is a cheaper way to fix it or if you know of a free program that will scan and fix the issues.

I don't use firefox at home, I use IE 7.

I had a ton of problems with IE 6 with it just randomly quiting. Even since I upgraded it's been great but....if that isn't working then you can try the program Adaware.

It looks for adware and other threats.
