My desktop computer is not connecting to internet. Called Dell today and based on what I told them, they said it's infected with spyware (grayware?).They are charging $129 for fixing it. HONESTLY, I'm broke and can't pay that much for one time fix. But the Dell guy told me that I could try figuring out how to do it by myself from another computer if I go on support.dell.com. Long story short. I tried some things there, but can't seem to make any sense of it. If anyone knows step by step instructions on how I can scan and remove spyware for free, please share! I have PC-cillin Antivirus, if it's relevant in any way. Was told it had nothing to do w/ spyware. Also, can i remove spyware working from another computer, such as laptop? Or do I have to work in the security mode in order to go online? THANK U in advance. When answering, keep in mind that u are dealing with someone who knows very little about computers : ) Would really appreciate if u could keep it simple %26 detailed. THANKS
