I have used avast, avg, ad-aware. There is still random music playing and i still get the occasional pop-up. Also, i get a new low memory error. I have no idea what to do. I don't have a lot of money to spend on a security program. I would just reboot and restart my whole computer if that is the last resort.
Need help with random music playing on my computer, spyware, adware, viruses, pop-ups, and low memory error?antivirus software
Reboot is not to be confused with reformat. Reformat is when you wipe your hard drive clean %26 then reinstall your operating system. Reboot is simply restarting your computer (turning it off %26 back on), which you should do every several days.
1. Update all your anti-virus %26 anti-spyware aps.
2. Reboot. as Windows begins tap F8 key repeatedly %26 go into Safe mode.
3. Run all your anti-virus %26 anti-spyware aps, and quaranteen/remove everything they find.
4. Reboot to normal status.
5. Go to System Restore (Start%26gt; Programs%26gt; Accessories%26gt; System Tools%26gt; System Restore) click Create a restore point, click next, type something (clean ? ) in the box, click Create. Exit
6. Open Disk Cleanup (same path as going to system restore.) When it shows the results, click the More Options tab. In System Restore click Clean up, click OK. When that's done, click Disk Cleanup tab, put a check in all the boxes except Catalog files for the Content Indexer, click OK, click Yes. Exit.
