My old computer's motherboard fried, so I saved the hard drive and now have it in an aluminum enclosure, so it's like an external hard drive now.
I now have a new computer, and every time I try to transfer a file from my old hard drive to my new computer, I get an "access denied" message. How do I change the security settings on my comp so they'll transfer??
Also, my new computer has Vista and my old one has XP, so are there any other security steps I have to take to do this because of that?
Need HELP with transferring files to my new computer!!?computer security
the manufacturer shoudl have a hotline if you cant get the file transfer to work. can you transfer the files to cd and then load the cd on the new computer? good luck with vista, i just bought a laptop with it and it is soooo slow. also my hardrive is already having problems.. good luck. worse comes to worse judging from your previous question you should be able to use your umm assets to get a comounerd to help you...
