If I have firewire security camera, how do I connect the firewire into my computer and use it like an ordinary web cam? Is this even possible?
My computer don't have any firewire plugs. Just USB ports.

First, you will need to buy a FireWire card for your computer to give it FireWire ports to plug into. If you have a laptop, you'll want a PCMCIA-to-FireWire adapter. If you have a desktop, you'll probably want a PCI-to-FireWire card.
Second, it's difficult to know whether your security camera will work as a regular webcam. Probably it will, if the software that you use supports generic FireWire cameras. But the only way to know for sure is to test it out.
By the way, when shopping for your new card, note that FireWire is sometimes also called IEEE1394 or iLink.

You need to add firewire capability to your computer. All you really need is an internal FireWire PCI card. They retail around USD$30.
Hope this helps.

well if u have a normal sized computer you might be able to go to bestbuy and buy a firewire card, open up your computer and put the card in. Then you need a wire to connect it.
look to make sure you have a cd for the camera to install in on your computer, you need the right drivers to install it.
Most computers have firewire ports. My laptop has one!
