Restore computer?

I used system restore to restore my computer. When it was done i had to restart my computer. when i went to get off of the computer i hit the start button, on the turn off button there was a security shield. I hit the turn off button and the screen said not to turn off that it would add updates and would turn off automatically when finished. What i want to know is, are they ones that i had before i restored it.
